My review today is of a dual processor motherboard the ACorp 6A815EPD. It's an older type using Pentium 3 Processors rather than Xeon or AMD MP technology. The reason for me using this motherboard was the fact that Computer Geeks was selling these boards for $29.95 each. They must have had an inventory glut or something. But I'm not complaining the price was right!

Motherboard Features:
The board supports the following hardware:
CPU:
- Dual Pentium III Socket 370 Processors
- One FC-PGA/PPGA Celeron Processor
- 300-800MHz or higher processor with 66/100 MHz Front Side Bus
- 500-1000MHz Pentium III processor with 100/133 Front Side Bus.
- VIA Cyrix III Processor with 100/133MHz Front Side Bus.
Chipset:
- Intel 815EP chipset
Memory Support:
- Three DIMM sockets supporting up to 512MB 168 pin 3.3v SDRAM
Slots:
- 1 AGP 4X Slot
- 5 32 bit PCI Slots
- 1 CNR Slot
On board IDE:
- IDE controller supporting 33/66/100 modes
- Connects up to four IDE devices (first two channels)
On board peripherals
- 1 floppy port supporting 2FDD
- 2 Serial ports
- 4 USB ports
- 1 parallel port
Hardware Monitor Function
- CPU Fan Speed monitor
- System and CPU Temperature Monitor
- System Voltage Monitor
RAID
- Promise LITE RAID Controller
- Supports ATA/100 IDE RAID for channels 3 and 4

The board itself is laid out quite well. There is very good clearance around the sockets, the RAM slots are far enough away so as not to interfere with anything and generally everything is positioned pretty well.
There are only 5 PCI slots, but for a file server its plenty. There is not much in the way of onboard components so 6 slots would have been nice.
As you can see from the picture below there are 4 IDE channels on the right side of the board. The 1st two are the regular IDE channels and the next two are the RAID channels.
There are 3 memory slots, unfortunately these will only support up to 512 MB's of PC133 RAM. This is a limitation of the i815 chipset. This is perhaps the worst part about this board. I would love to be able to use more memory. For a simple file server that I'm using it for it will be adequate, but for a workstation it would be lacking in some areas. Particularly if you were wanting to use it for intensive graphics work. As a server it would be totally inadequate.

Here's a list of what components I will incorporate into my system.
1. 1-Acorp 6A815EPD motherboard
2. 2-Intel Pentium III 800 MHz Processors
3. 2-Vantec 6035d heatsink/fans w/ Delta 7000 rpm
4. 2-256 MB PC 133 RAM Cas 3 from Crucial w/Thermaltake Heatspreaders

6. 1-30 GB Maxtor 7200 rpm Hard drive (for the Operating system and programs)
7. 1-GeForce 3 Ti500 by VisionTek w/Thermaltake Crystal Orb
8. 1-LiteOn 40x12x48 CD/RW
9. 1-LiteOn DVD-ROM
10. 1-Linksys NIC
11. 1-Diamond MX400 sound card
12. 1-Maxtor USB 2.0 card

14. Miscellaneous stuff Arctic Silver 3, Silver rounded cables, etc.
15. 1-Windows XP Professional (You have to use Windows 2000 Pro or XP Pro to enable Multi-Processor)

Now for some pictures as construction progressed.
Processors installed and AS 3 in place.
